NM-55 – Breton Cavalry
Cavalry gave William’s army a degree of tactical flexibility that the Anglo-Saxon forces could not easily match. Mounted warriors could attack, pull away, regroup and threaten exposed enemy troops with remarkable speed.
NM-55 – Breton Cavalry depicts a warrior from the Breton contingent that fought alongside William’s Normans at Hastings. Rather than treating the invading army as a single uniform force, figures such as this highlight the different regional groups that participated in the conquest.
Grouped with the other Breton cavalry releases, NM-55 can form part of an impressive mounted formation or be mixed among Norman knights to create a much larger battlefield scene.
A striking mounted addition to the John Jenkins 1066 range, available from The Military Workshop.
