POW-05 – Powhatan Warrior adds another individual figure to the Indigenous forces of early 17th-century Virginia.
The Powhatan political network brought together numerous Algonquian-speaking communities across the region when the English established Jamestown.
As colonial settlements expanded, competition over land and resources contributed to increasingly serious confrontation. Powhatan warriors played a central role in defending their communities during these turbulent decades.
For collectors, POW-05 is particularly useful when combined with the other warrior poses. A varied group can be arranged through woodland or around village structures rather than displayed as a conventional European military formation.
