Travel through the North American frontier often meant carrying everything required for survival over long distances and through difficult country.
REF-01 – Settler and Pack Horse captures that reality, pairing a civilian traveller with one of the most important means of moving goods through areas where roads were limited or nonexistent.
Pack horses carried food, clothing, tools and personal possessions and could accompany settlers, traders, military columns and refugees alike.
The set therefore offers enormous flexibility. It can be used in a settlement scene, on a woodland trail or alongside families leaving an area threatened by war.
The presence of the horse also adds height and movement, making REF-01 an excellent linking piece between civilian and military sections of a larger display.
