ROMEN009 - Wounded Dacian Soldier

During the Dacian Wars, combat frequently took place in difficult terrain—forests, fortified hilltops, and narrow passes—where ambushes and defensive stands were common. Wounded soldiers were often the result of close-quarters fighting or Roman siege operations against fortified settlements.
Roman forces gradually overwhelmed Dacian resistance through superior engineering, logistics, and sustained military pressure. The construction of roads, fortresses, and siege works allowed the Romans to penetrate deep into Dacian territory and reduce strongholds systematically.
