ROT-04 – Roth Würzburg Infantry Regiment, 2 Figures Firing #2 | John Jenkins Designs
ROT-04 “Roth Würzburg Infantry Regiment – 2 Figures Firing #2” is a two-figure set from John Jenkins Designs, portraying infantrymen of the Würzburg contingent in the act of firing their muskets during the Napoleonic Wars.
The Grand Duchy of Würzburg was one of several German states aligned with Napoleon during the early 19th century, contributing troops to French-led campaigns across Europe. Although smaller in number than the major French formations, Würzburg soldiers formed part of the wider network of allied contingents that supported Napoleon’s armies.
This set captures two infantrymen actively engaging the enemy, both shown in firing poses that bring immediate movement and tension to a battlefield display. Their coordinated stance makes ROT-04 ideal for forming part of a larger firing line, defensive position or infantry formation under pressure.
During the Napoleonic era, infantry warfare relied heavily on disciplined volleys delivered by tightly controlled ranks of men armed with smoothbore muskets. Soldiers were trained to load, present and fire in sequence, often while maintaining formation under intense battlefield conditions. Sets such as ROT-04 help recreate this carefully drilled style of warfare in miniature.
The distinctive Würzburg uniforms give these figures strong visual appeal and make them particularly useful for collectors wanting to represent the smaller German states that fought alongside Napoleon. When combined with other Roth Würzburg sets, they allow a larger and more varied infantry formation to be built, with soldiers shown loading, preparing, firing and advancing.
ROT-04 is an excellent companion to ROT-03 and other figures from the same series, adding another stage of the infantry firing sequence and helping create a more convincing Napoleonic battle scene.
A detailed and dynamic two-piece set, ROT-04 Roth Würzburg Infantry Regiment – 2 Figures Firing #2 is a strong addition for collectors of Napoleonic subjects and John Jenkins Designs figures.
