SMASS-12 – The Battle of Saratoga 1777, Continental Army, 2nd Massachusetts Regiment – Two Infantry Advancing
The Saratoga Campaign of 1777 became one of the most important chapters of the American Revolutionary War. American forces gathered to oppose General John Burgoyne’s British army as it advanced south from Canada, culminating in the battles that eventually forced Burgoyne’s surrender.
SMASS-12 – Two Infantry Advancing depicts two soldiers of the 2nd Massachusetts Regiment moving forward into action. Their advancing poses capture the determination of Continental troops as they closed with the enemy during the hard-fought Saratoga campaign.
The two figures work particularly well alongside firing, loading and casualty sets, allowing collectors to create a much more active representation of the Continental battle line.
