SP064 – The European Farm House | King & Country
SP064 “The European Farm House” is a highly versatile scenic building from King & Country, designed to provide an authentic backdrop for a wide variety of European military and civilian displays.
The model captures the appearance of a traditional rural farmhouse that might have been found throughout France, Belgium, Holland and other parts of Western Europe during the first half of the 20th century. Buildings such as these were a familiar sight during both World Wars, often standing directly in the path of advancing and retreating armies.
During the Second World War, European farmhouses frequently became temporary headquarters, observation posts, aid stations, billets or defensive positions. Their stone walls, outbuildings and rural locations made them useful to soldiers on both sides, while the families who lived in them often found themselves caught in the middle of rapidly changing front lines.
SP064 is ideal for creating a wide range of scenes, from a peaceful pre-war village setting to the aftermath of battle. It can be paired with infantry, armoured vehicles, staff cars, civilians and other scenic accessories to create a convincing countryside or village display.
Its neutral European styling also makes it suitable across several different periods and campaigns, particularly displays based around the Battle of France, D-Day, Normandy and the fighting across Northwest Europe in 1944–45.
