SX-34B – Fyrdman Advancing
A shield wall was not necessarily a purely defensive formation. Saxon warriors could also advance together behind their shields, maintaining protection as they closed the distance with an opposing force.
SX-34B – Fyrdman Advancing captures one of these warriors moving forward towards the enemy. The advancing pose provides an excellent transition between static shield-wall figures and the more energetic charging warriors within the range.
Several advancing Fyrdmen placed together can create the impression of an entire section of the Saxon line beginning to move forward, particularly when supported by Housecarls and command figures.
Available from The Military Workshop – a dynamic John Jenkins Fyrdman ideal for adding forward movement to a Saxon battlefield display.
