Building an impressive Saxon battlefield requires numbers, and the Fyrd provided much of the manpower behind the armies of Anglo-Saxon England.

SX-505152B – Fyrdmen combines the complementary 50, 51 and 52 poses into a convenient group, giving collectors an immediate section of warriors that can be incorporated into a larger shield wall.

The different poses create a natural-looking formation and work particularly well when mixed with the individual A and B variants. Housecarls can then be positioned among them to represent the more experienced professional core of the army.

The Military Workshop offers SX-505152B as an excellent John Jenkins multi-figure set for quickly adding depth, numbers and variety to a Saxon fighting force.
