SX-51B – Fyrdman
The events of 1066 placed enormous demands upon England’s fighting forces. Saxon warriors were required to respond to threats from both Norway and Normandy within a remarkably short period, culminating in the famous battles of Stamford Bridge and Hastings.
SX-51B – Fyrdman represents one of the fighting men who could have stood within such an Anglo-Saxon army. His individual pose adds another variation to the larger Fyrd formations available throughout the range.
Positioned beside Housecarls, archers and fellow Fyrdmen, the figure helps create the depth and variety of a substantial early medieval army.
Available from The Military Workshop – another excellent John Jenkins Saxon figure for expanding a 1066 or Anglo-Saxon battlefield display.
