SX-53A – Fyrdman

The strength of an Anglo-Saxon army depended upon more than its famous Housecarls. The Fyrd provided a broader body of fighting men who could be summoned to defend their communities and kingdom during times of war.

SX-53A – Fyrdman depicts one of these warriors prepared for battle. Individual figures such as this are particularly useful for filling gaps within a larger formation and avoiding the repetitive appearance of identical troops.
