The Housecarls formed the professional warrior elite of late Anglo-Saxon England. Serving kings and powerful nobles, these experienced fighting men were expected to provide loyal military service and stand firm during the most dangerous moments of battle.

SX-64A – Housecarl represents one of these seasoned Saxon warriors. Better equipped and more experienced than many members of the Fyrd, Housecarls provided strength and stability to the main battle line.

This individual figure is ideal for adding further variety among the larger Housecarl sets or strengthening a section of shield wall surrounding a Saxon commander or standard.
