SY-16A – Scythian Foot Archers

The Scythians were renowned throughout the ancient world for their mastery of the bow. Although particularly famous as mounted archers, Scythian warriors were equally capable of using their powerful composite bows while fighting on foot.

SY-16A – Scythian Foot Archers represents these warriors operating as infantry, providing an excellent contrast to the mounted horse archers for which Scythian warfare is best remembered.

Foot archers can be positioned as a skirmishing screen, defending an encampment or supporting mounted warriors from behind, giving collectors plenty of possibilities when constructing a larger Scythian scene.
