TH-03 – Thracian Musician
Music and sound had important roles in ancient armies, helping communicate, maintain cohesion and encourage warriors amid the noise and confusion of movement and battle.
TH-03 – Thracian Musician provides something quite different from the numerous fighting peltasts in the range. Rather than another spear or javelin-armed warrior, the musician adds an important ceremonial and organisational element to the Thracian contingent.
Positioned alongside the standard bearer and surrounded by warriors, the figure can form part of an impressive command group and gives a larger Thracian force considerably more character.
