TH-06A – Thracian Peltast

Thracian peltasts were not intended to meet heavily armoured infantry on equal terms in prolonged close combat. Their advantage came from mobility and missile fire, allowing them to choose when and where to engage.

TH-06A – Thracian Peltast portrays another of these specialist skirmishers. His presence within a collection helps illustrate the tactical variety of ancient warfare, where victory depended upon more than simply placing heavy infantry in opposing battle lines.

Mixed with additional peltasts, cavalry and command figures, he can become part of an impressive and historically varied Thracian contingent.
