TH-08A – Thracian Peltast
The distinctive pelta shield became so closely associated with light infantry that the term peltast eventually described an entire category of troops throughout the ancient Greek world.
TH-08A – Thracian Peltast represents one of the warriors from whom that military tradition developed. Lightly equipped and capable of moving rapidly, Thracian peltasts could engage an enemy with javelins before withdrawing and attacking again from another position.
Together with the B variation and other peltast releases, this figure allows collectors to create an increasingly varied skirmish line.
