TH-09B – Thracian Peltast

A peltast’s battlefield role demanded patience as well as courage. Rather than simply charging into close combat, these warriors attempted to wear down and disrupt an opponent, using their mobility to attack while avoiding a decisive engagement with heavier infantry.

TH-09B – Thracian Peltast represents another member of this highly flexible type of ancient soldier. Used individually, he provides an interesting skirmishing figure; grouped with other Thracians, he becomes part of a much more formidable screen of light infantry.

The numerous poses available throughout the TH range make it possible to build a force that appears active and naturally dispersed across the battlefield.

The Military Workshop offers TH-09B as an excellent John Jenkins figure for adding further depth to a Thracian peltast formation.
