TR025 – Queen Elizabeth I, “The Virgin Queen”
One of the most famous monarchs in English history, Elizabeth I ruled from 1558 until 1603. The daughter of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, she inherited a kingdom divided by religious and political tensions but would give her name to an extraordinary period in English history.
Her reign witnessed the defeat of the Spanish Armada in 1588, the flourishing of English drama and literature and the growth of English maritime ambition. Elizabeth never married, helping give rise to her enduring title, “The Virgin Queen.”
TR025 – Queen Elizabeth I portrays this remarkable Tudor monarch and makes a natural centrepiece for a collection devoted to Britain's royal history.
Available from The Military Workshop – a beautifully presented King & Country portrayal of Elizabeth I, one of England's most celebrated and enduring monarchs.
