TRW202 – Corporal/Bugler with Carbine | King & Country
During the American Indian Wars of the 19th century, the United States Cavalry operated across enormous distances, often in isolated and difficult country where effective communication between soldiers was essential.
Before modern radio communication, military buglers performed a vital role in transmitting orders across the battlefield and throughout military encampments.
Distinctive bugle calls signalled everything from reveille and assembly to advance, retreat and other cavalry movements, allowing officers to communicate instructions to troops who might otherwise be unable to hear shouted commands.
Buglers were frequently required to accompany mounted patrols and cavalry formations, where they also needed to be prepared to defend themselves when circumstances demanded.
TRW202 – Corporal/Bugler with Carbine by King & Country depicts a U.S. Cavalry corporal standing with his bugle raised to his lips, sounding a call while his carbine rests beside him.
Wearing the classic blue cavalry uniform, yellow neckerchief and broad-brimmed hat, the figure captures the familiar appearance of the cavalry soldiers portrayed in director John Ford's Western films.
Part of the King & Country The Real West – John Ford's Cavalry range, this finely detailed miniature is ideal for recreating a frontier cavalry encampment, parade formation or battlefield scene.
