TWG-01 – Menelaus, The Greeks
Menelaus, King of Sparta, stood at the very heart of the story that brought the Greek armies to Troy. He was the husband of Helen, whose departure for Troy with Paris provided the legendary cause of the Trojan War.
Menelaus joined his brother Agamemnon and the other Greek kings in the expedition to recover Helen and punish Troy. In the Iliad, he is an active warrior and famously confronts Paris in single combat in an attempt to settle the conflict.
TWG-01 – Menelaus therefore represents one of the essential personalities of the entire Trojan War story and makes an important addition to any collection of the Greek heroes.
