TWT-06 – Glaucus, Troy and Her Allies
Among the most celebrated allies who came to the defence of Troy were the Lycians, led by the warrior princes Sarpedon and Glaucus. In Homer’s Iliad, the Lycians are portrayed as formidable fighters who travelled from south-western Anatolia to support King Priam and the Trojans.
TWT-06 – Glaucus represents one of these important allied commanders. Glaucus is especially remembered for his famous encounter with the Greek hero Diomedes, when the two discovered that their families shared an ancient bond of friendship and exchanged armour rather than fight one another.
His position as a named Lycian hero makes Glaucus an excellent companion to the Lycian warriors and other personalities fighting alongside Troy.
Available from The Military Workshop – a fascinating John Jenkins personality figure representing one of the great allied heroes of the Trojan War.
