The story of Troy is filled with legendary kings and heroes, but even the greatest commanders depended upon the warriors who stood beside them.

At the head of the Trojan army was Hector, eldest son of King Priam and the city’s greatest defender. Hector understood that the survival of Troy depended upon confronting the Greeks beyond the city walls, and he repeatedly led his warriors onto the battlefield.

There they faced an extraordinary collection of Greek heroes including Diomedes, Ajax, Odysseus and the almost unstoppable Achilles. Yet the Trojans were far from helpless defenders. At several points in Homer’s story, Hector and his men gained the upper hand and drove the Greeks backwards towards their ships.

TWT-25B Trojan Warrior represents one of the ordinary fighting men whose courage and determination formed the strength behind Troy’s famous champions.
