To the Greek army gathered outside its walls, Troy was a prize that stubbornly refused to fall.
Protected by its famous fortifications and defended by determined warriors, the legendary city withstood years of siege. Yet the Trojans did not simply remain behind their walls. Much of the fighting described in the Iliad takes place on the open plain between Troy and the Greek encampment.
Trojan warriors fought alongside allied contingents who had travelled from across Anatolia and beyond to support King Priam. Together they formed a diverse army capable of taking the battle directly to the Greeks.
TWT-26A Trojan Warrior captures one of these determined defenders ready to take his place in the battle line and confront the invading army.
