Before opposing warriors met with spear and sword, the battlefield could already be filled with arrows.

Archery played an important role in the legendary Trojan War, allowing warriors to attack from a distance and disrupt enemy formations before the main battle lines met.

One of the best-known archers associated with Troy was Pandarus, son of Lycaon. Homer portrays him as a skilled bowman whose actions had enormous consequences when he fired upon the Greek king Menelaus during a fragile truce, helping reignite the fighting.

Trojan archers provided valuable support, sending arrows towards the Greeks while the spearmen and other warriors prepared to close with the enemy.

TWT-27D Trojan Archer brings this important battlefield role into a Trojan War display. Available from The Military Workshop, this figure is a superb complement to the spearmen and warriors defending King Priam’s legendary city.
