TWTAZ-02 – Hippolyta, The Amazons

Hippolyta was one of the most famous queens of the Amazons in Greek mythology. Different ancient traditions tell her story in varying ways, but she is particularly associated with Heracles, whose ninth labour required him to obtain the girdle of the Amazon queen.

She is also connected with the hero Theseus in several versions of the myths, making Hippolyta an important figure in the wider legendary world surrounding the Greek heroes.
