TX-07 – Tlaxcaltec Warriors
The fall of the Aztec Empire cannot be understood without considering the thousands of Indigenous warriors who allied themselves with the Spanish. Among the most important were the Tlaxcaltecs, longstanding opponents of Aztec power in central Mexico.
TX-07 – Tlaxcaltec Warriors depicts members of this formidable fighting force. Their weapons, shields and distinctive appearance provide a striking contrast to both the Spanish conquistadors and the Aztec warriors they opposed.
By combining the various TX releases, collectors can recreate the large Indigenous contingents that accompanied Cortés during the campaigns culminating in the fall of Tenochtitlan in 1521.
