USBS-27A – Union Cavalry
The American Civil War demonstrated just how valuable cavalry could be for reconnaissance, screening troop movements, protecting flanks and striking rapidly at vulnerable enemy positions. Union cavalry developed considerably during the conflict, evolving into an increasingly confident and effective battlefield force.
USBS-27A – Union Cavalry from John Jenkins Designs captures one of these mounted soldiers in action, bringing the movement and character of Civil War cavalry to the collector's display.
Union horsemen were expected to be versatile soldiers. They could scout far ahead of the main army, conduct raids against Confederate communications and supply lines, fight mounted when circumstances demanded, or dismount and use their firearms as mobile infantry.
With horse and rider creating a strong sense of movement, USBS-27A makes an excellent addition to a cavalry column, patrol or larger American Civil War battlefield.
Available from The Military Workshop, this John Jenkins figure is a great choice for collectors looking to strengthen their Union mounted forces.
