VIK-09 – Viking Standard Bearer

Standards provided an important visual symbol around which warriors could gather on the battlefield. Norse sources and later traditions refer to various Viking banners, with the famous raven banner becoming particularly associated with Scandinavian armies and leaders.

VIK-09 – Viking Standard Bearer portrays a warrior entrusted with carrying the banner into battle. Rising above the surrounding shields and weapons, the standard creates an immediate focal point within a Viking formation.

Position the figure alongside a chieftain and his warriors to establish a convincing command group, or place him at the centre of a shield wall where the banner can rally the fighting men around it.
