Battles of the Viking Age were rarely the clean, orderly encounters sometimes imagined from lines of miniature warriors. When formations collided, the fighting became chaotic, personal and extremely dangerous.

VIK-37A – Injured Viking Warrior depicts one of the casualties of this brutal style of warfare. The wounded pose provides an important visual break among standing, charging and fighting warriors and can dramatically alter the appearance of a larger battle scene.

Used alongside VIK-37B and the various multi-figure warrior sets, this figure can help recreate the intensity of a shield-wall engagement as the battle begins to take its toll.
