VIK-39A – Viking Archers

Although Viking warfare is often associated with axes, swords and shield walls, the bow was also an important and practical weapon. Archers could engage an enemy from a distance, defend positions and provide missile support before opposing warriors met in close combat.

VIK-39A – Viking Archers represents the missile troops within a Norse fighting force, adding an important tactical element to a Viking battlefield display.

Positioned behind a shield wall or on the flanks of an advancing force, the archers provide an excellent contrast to the heavily armed warriors in the front ranks and help create a more complete representation of Viking warfare.
