VIK-42 – Viking Shield Maiden Archer

Archery played an important role in Viking warfare, allowing warriors to engage an opponent before the fighting developed into the brutal hand-to-hand combat for which Viking battle scenes are so well known.

VIK-42 – Viking Shield Maiden Archer combines the legendary image of the female Norse warrior with the battlefield role of the archer. Her bow gives her a very different appearance from the sword- and shield-equipped figures elsewhere in the shield-maiden series.

Positioned behind a fighting line or alongside other Viking archers, she adds both visual variety and another layer of missile support to a larger Norse force.
