WFLAL-05N2 - Lally's (Irish) Regiment, French Line Infantry Set | John Jenkins Designs

WFLAL-05N2 represents a larger formation of infantry from Lally's Irish Regiment serving in the French Army during the Battle of Wandewash in January 1760.

The regiment formed part of the French military forces deployed to India during the Seven Years War, where Britain and France were engaged in a struggle for influence and control.

Under the command of the Comte de Lally-Tollendal, the regiment's second battalion participated in several important campaigns after arriving on the Coromandel Coast in April 1758.

These included the operations against Fort St. David, the unsuccessful Siege of Madras and the subsequent fighting leading to the Battle of Wandewash.

This larger infantry set provides collectors with an opportunity to assemble a more extensive representation of Lally's Irish Regiment.

WFLAL-05N2 can be combined with WFLAL-05 and the other French infantry releases within the collection to create a larger battlefield formation.

The regiment's officer, standard bearer and drummer can also be included to provide a command element.

This set is suited to collectors building a substantial French Army display from the Third Carnatic War.
