WH062 – 10.5cm Light Field Field Howitzer | King & Country
The 10.5cm Light Field was the standard divisional field howitzer used by the German Wehrmacht throughout the Second World War. Designed and developed by Rheinmetall in the late 1920s and early 1930s, it entered German service in 1935 and went on to become one of the most widely used artillery pieces of the war.
The design also proved successful on the export market, with examples supplied to countries including Hungary, Spain, Bulgaria, Finland and Sweden. Reliable and versatile, the leFH 18 provided German infantry divisions with essential artillery support across numerous campaigns and theatres of operation.
King & Country had previously produced this gun in desert Afrika Korps colours, while WH062 presents the piece in the more familiar field grey finish. The model can be displayed being towed behind a suitable vehicle or positioned for firing with the trails extended. The barrel can also be elevated or depressed, allowing for a variety of realistic display options.
