WS123 – Machine Gun Team Forward

The machine gun sat at the heart of German infantry tactics during the Second World War. Rather than being regarded simply as a supporting weapon, the gun team often provided the principal source of firepower around which the rest of the infantry section operated.

WS123 – Machine Gun Team Forward depicts a German gun team moving their weapon towards a new position. The scene captures the effort involved in keeping heavier infantry weapons moving as troops advanced, particularly when roads and vehicles were unavailable.

This is an excellent set for creating a mobile infantry scene, perhaps with the team following an advancing patrol or moving quickly towards a position where their firepower is urgently required.
