WS317 – The Marder I
As German forces sought to increase the mobility of their anti-tank weapons during the Second World War, a variety of captured vehicles were converted into self-propelled gun platforms. One such vehicle was the Marder I, which mounted an anti-tank gun on a modified French chassis.
WS317 – The Marder I represents this distinctive German tank destroyer, combining captured French automotive equipment with German weaponry to create a mobile anti-tank vehicle.
Marder Is saw service particularly in France and Western Europe, making this vehicle an excellent addition to a Normandy or German occupation-era display alongside infantry, tank crews and other armoured vehicles.
Available from The Military Workshop – an impressive King & Country fighting vehicle representing Germany’s extensive use of converted and captured equipment during WWII.
