The Crow people were highly skilled horsemen with an intimate knowledge of the country they inhabited. Scouting was an essential skill, whether searching for game, watching the movements of rival groups or assessing potential dangers ahead.

WSP-08C – Crow Warrior Scout portrays a warrior carefully observing the surrounding country. Rather than showing him in direct combat, the scouting pose reflects the importance of awareness, patience and knowledge of the landscape.
