WSP-10 – Crow Family Travois

Mobility was an important part of traditional life on the Great Plains. Families regularly moved between seasonal camps, hunting grounds and other locations, transporting the possessions necessary for daily life with them.

WSP-10 – Crow Family Travois depicts a Crow family travelling with a travois, providing collectors with a civilian scene that helps tell a much broader story than warfare alone.

Family and travelling figures are particularly valuable within a larger display because they show the movement of an entire community rather than concentrating only on its warriors. Combined with dogs, horses and other Crow figures, the set can become part of an impressive travelling encampment.
