WSP-130 – “The Argument” | John Jenkins Designs
Life in a frontier settlement could bring together a colourful mixture of miners, traders, hunters, labourers and travellers – and not every meeting was necessarily a friendly one.
WSP-130 – “The Argument” captures one of those moments when tempers appear to be getting the better of the participants.
Rather than depicting an outright fight, the scene leaves plenty to the imagination. Perhaps the disagreement concerns a mining claim, a debt, a trade that has gone wrong or simply an argument that has become a little more heated than intended. That ambiguity is part of what makes the piece so enjoyable.
Placed outside a saloon, trading post, mine or other frontier building, WSP-130 can become the centre of a much larger scene. Add a few nearby figures and they suddenly appear to be spectators wondering whether the disagreement is about to escalate.
It is another excellent example of the character-driven direction of the WSP range, where everyday interactions help bring the world surrounding the more famous personalities of the American West to life.
Available through The Military Workshop – a highly characterful John Jenkins Designs vignette that adds humour, tension and a ready-made story to any frontier display.
