WSP-61 – Jeremiah “Jerry” Potts

Jerry Potts was a real and remarkable figure of the Canadian-American frontier. Of Kainai (Blood) and Scottish ancestry, he became renowned for his exceptional knowledge of the land, languages and peoples of the northern plains.

Potts became especially important to the newly formed North-West Mounted Police, serving as a guide, interpreter and scout. His knowledge proved invaluable as the force established itself across the Canadian West during the 1870s.

WSP-61 – Jeremiah “Jerry” Potts portrays a genuine historical personality whose life connected the worlds of Indigenous communities, frontier traders and the early Mounted Police.

A fascinating piece of Canadian frontier history, WSP-61 is available from The Military Workshop as part of the John Jenkins Whiskey, Scalps & Beaver Pelts collection.
