WSP-70 – Colonel French

George Arthur French played a major role in the early history of the North-West Mounted Police, serving as the force's first permanent Commissioner after its establishment in 1873.

French was instrumental in organising and preparing the new force for its famous March West of 1874, when the Mounties travelled across the Canadian plains to establish a permanent government presence in the western territories. The expedition became one of the defining episodes in the early history of the NWMP.

WSP-70 – Colonel French portrays this important historical personality and provides a natural command figure for a collection of North-West Mounted Police.

Available from The Military Workshop – a fascinating John Jenkins personality figure representing one of the founding figures of Canada's legendary Mounted Police.
