WSP-71 – NWMP with Helmet

The North-West Mounted Police were established in 1873 to bring Canadian law and government authority to the vast western territories. Their duties ranged from patrols and law enforcement to maintaining relations with Indigenous peoples and responding to unrest across an enormous area.

WSP-71 – NWMP with Helmet depicts one of these early Mounties wearing the distinctive white foreign-service style helmet, giving the figure an immediately recognisable late-19th-century appearance.

Displayed alongside Colonel French and other members of the NWMP, the figure helps recreate the early years of a force that would eventually evolve into the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

A distinctive piece of Canadian frontier history, available from The Military Workshop as part of the John Jenkins range.
