CS01168 - 11th Mississippi Bugler | The Collectors Showcase

The 11th Mississippi served in some of the American Civil War's most demanding fighting. Its participation in Pickett's Charge is particularly remembered: during that costly assault, the regiment advanced deeply into Union positions and suffered devastating casualties. These figures recall the regiment's experience through a series of individual battlefield roles.

The 11th Mississippi Bugler introduces a figure associated with military signals and the communication of orders. The pose adds another element to the regiment beyond the familiar firing and charging infantrymen. Display him with the officer and colour-bearers to create a command grouping, while the soldiers advancing into the action provide a dramatic background.

Part of the 54mm 11th Mississippi series, this miniature can be grouped with the regiment's officers, colours, riflemen and support figures. Together they make an evocative Confederate infantry display, particularly one inspired by the costly fighting at Pickett's Charge.
