TR023 – “A Tale of Two Catherines” – Catherine Howard & Catherine Parr
The final two wives of Henry VIII could hardly have experienced more different fates.
Catherine Howard, Henry's fifth wife, was young when she married the ageing king in 1540. Accusations concerning her relationships with other men eventually led to her arrest and execution in 1542.
Catherine Parr, Henry's sixth and final wife, was a very different personality – educated, intelligent and politically capable. She survived Henry and outlived the king by more than a year.
TR023 – “A Tale of Two Catherines” brings these two Tudor queens together in one fascinating set.
Available from The Military Workshop – an excellent King & Country pairing representing the fifth and sixth wives of the formidable Henry VIII.
