ACE-43P – Ltn. Werner Voss
Werner Voss was one of Germany’s most naturally gifted fighter pilots of the First World War. A contemporary of Manfred von Richthofen, Voss rapidly established himself as an outstanding combat aviator and was credited with 48 aerial victories.
He is especially remembered for his final battle on 23 September 1917, when, flying a Fokker F.I prototype, he fought an extraordinary lone engagement against several pilots of Britain’s elite No. 56 Squadron.
Voss was killed during the encounter at only 20 years of age, but the skill he displayed earned the admiration of the British pilots who fought against him.
Available from The Military Workshop – ACE-43P is a superb John Jenkins personality figure depicting one of the most celebrated German fighter aces of the Great War.
