CS00822 - REB Officer | The Collectors Showcase

The Confederate infantryman is one of the defining figures of the American Civil War. Advancing and withdrawing under fire, maintaining formation and responding to an officer's orders demanded coordination even when the noise and confusion of battle made every movement difficult.

The REB Officer represents a vital figure in a Confederate formation: the man responsible for directing those around him. A battlefield officer's presence gives structure to scenes of marching, firing and close combat. Placed near the flagbearer or among the infantrymen, this officer helps suggest that the figures are part of an organised unit responding to commands rather than a collection of unrelated poses.

This 54mm Confederate miniature is suited to a display of troops in the midst of battle. Combine it with the other REB officers, standard-bearers and fighting poses to build a varied formation with convincing movement across the ground.
