CS00851 - 2nd Wisconsin Advancing | The Collectors Showcase
The 2nd Wisconsin figures present a wide range of experiences within Union infantry service during the American Civil War. Officers, colour bearers and men fighting, advancing or falling in battle help recreate the human scale of an infantry engagement.
The CS00851 - 2nd Wisconsin Advancing figure captures a particular moment from this wider setting. The advancing figure depicts purposeful forward movement without losing the sense of a soldier in formation. It can bridge the visual gap between men at rest, those firing and others shown in a charge.
When combined with the other 2nd Wisconsin figures, the scene can move from leadership and an advance to the realities of battle.
It makes a valuable addition to the 54mm 2nd Wisconsin grouping, complementing its officers, colour bearer and fellow infantry figures.
