CS01078 - 11th Mississippi Charging | The Collectors Showcase

The 11th Mississippi served in some of the American Civil War's most demanding fighting. Its participation in Pickett's Charge is particularly remembered: during that costly assault, the regiment advanced deeply into Union positions and suffered devastating casualties. These figures recall the regiment's experience through a series of individual battlefield roles.

The Charging figure depicts an 11th Mississippi infantryman at the most forceful point of an advance. It is well suited to a scene recalling Pickett's Charge, when the regiment took part in an assault remembered for its terrible casualties. Placing this soldier ahead of advancing and firing figures creates a powerful sense of momentum and makes the unit's movement across the battlefield the centre of the display.

Part of the 54mm 11th Mississippi series, this miniature can be grouped with the regiment's officers, colours, riflemen and support figures. Together they make an evocative Confederate infantry display, particularly one inspired by the costly fighting at Pickett's Charge.
