CS01166 - 11th Mississippi State Flag Bearer | The Collectors Showcase

Among the Confederate regiments associated with Pickett's Charge, the 11th Mississippi holds a particularly dramatic place. The fighting exposed its men to extraordinary danger, and the regiment paid a terrible price. Each miniature in this group captures another moment in the movement, discipline and human cost of an infantry assault.

The State Flag Bearer adds a further colour-bearing subject to the 11th Mississippi range. Carrying a state flag distinguishes this figure from the other flagbearer and allows a collector to represent more than one standard within the regiment's formation. In a scene recalling the 11th Mississippi's costly fighting at Pickett's Charge, the flag provides a prominent, poignant point of focus amid advancing and wounded soldiers.

Part of the 54mm 11th Mississippi series, this miniature can be grouped with the regiment's officers, colours, riflemen and support figures. Together they make an evocative Confederate infantry display, particularly one inspired by the costly fighting at Pickett's Charge.
