CS1VCAV-01 – Colonel J.E.B. Stuart – 1st Virginia Cavalry Regiment
Few Confederate cavalry commanders became as famous as James Ewell Brown “J.E.B.” Stuart.
A flamboyant and highly capable cavalry officer, Stuart became renowned for reconnaissance, screening and daring mounted operations during the American Civil War. Early in the conflict he commanded the 1st Virginia Cavalry, before rising to senior cavalry command in Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia.
CS1VCAV-01 portrays Stuart as Colonel of the 1st Virginia Cavalry, making him the natural command figure around which the regiment can be assembled.
Stuart was mortally wounded at Yellow Tavern in May 1864, dying the following day at just 31 years of age.
Available from The Military Workshop – a distinguished John Jenkins Designs portrayal of J.E.B. Stuart, one of the best-known cavalry commanders of the American Civil War.
