The Numidian cavalry were among the most celebrated light horsemen of the ancient Mediterranean.

Famous for their speed and mobility, Numidian riders could scout, harass enemy formations and strike at vulnerable troops before rapidly disengaging. Their effectiveness made them highly valued during the Punic Wars, and Numidian horsemen served at different times on both Carthaginian and Roman sides.

CTNUM-03A depicts a Numidian Light Cavalryman carrying a striking zebra-pattern shield, giving the figure tremendous visual character.
